About your cycling coach

My Story

It all began in the fall of 1999 when I joined Northern Arizona University’s Division 1 collegiate cycling team as a novice mountain biker. With hard work and determination, I moved from a total beginner to a Pro-level athlete in cross-country mountain biking and earned Cat 2 status on the road. My journey has taken me through a variety of disciplines, from Endurance MTB (50 & 100-mile events) to XTERRA, Criteriums, Time Trials, Stage Races, Hill Climbs, Cyclocross, and Gravel.

As I raced, I learned from my coaches and got very interested in training metrics and methodology, especially after getting my first power meter in 2008. I became a USA Cycling Certified Coach in 2009 and a Registered Yoga Teacher in 2010, with ongoing education in both fields. My commitment to holistic wellness led me to earn a Wellness Counseling certificate from Cornell University in 2022 and a Yoga Nidra certification in 2023. I also hold two bachelor’s degrees from Northern Arizona University (Art History & Visual Communication/Graphic Design).

My coaching experience began in 2004 when I started teaching mountain biking at NAU. I loved helping others succeed in the sport that was a huge part of my life. From 2010 to 2012, I was the head cycling coach for a triathlon training program in Hawaii. I guided athletes through Half Ironman 70.3 events and led mountain bike skills clinics to prep them for XTERRA races. It was also during this time that I began teaching yoga for athletes, recognizing how important self-care is for those of us in the endurance sports world.

In 2013, I transitioned to personal coaching, and it felt like the perfect fit with my deep knowledge of training and love for one-on-one coaching. In 2015, I co-founded Women's Cycling NYC, where I led community rides and skills classes both in and out of the city. A year later, I launched Art of Cycling to offer personalized guidance that truly reflects my philosophy. Today, I’m dedicated to working closely with athletes, integrating yoga, mindfulness, and meditation to help them find balance and reach their full potential.

My role as a coach is to meet you where you are and help you achieve your performance goals while maintaining balance in your life.
